Everything You Need to Master Clean Sleeping
Clean eating is so 2016. This year it's all about clean sleeping and, rightfully so, it's the only activity we spend almost half our lives doing. Endless studies continue to highlight the link between bad sleeping patterns and obesity so it's about time we do it right — not just for our waistlines but our overall health. Clean sleeping is also the latest trend on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop radar and unlike her vagina facials (oh, God!) it's one we're not opposed to. So make 2018 the year you get your sleep sorted — here's how . . .
- Sort your sleep number. We bang on about this *a lot* but we're pretty sure truer words have never been spoken. Your sleep number is the exact hours your body needs to function at your peak each day and it's so, so, so important.
- Create a space that encourages peaceful sleeping. That means, quit doing activities in your room! Help your mind to recognise your sleep space as a peaceful area free of interruptions and distractions.
- Clean those sheets! Sleeping in dirty sheets is, well, dirty. Clean them at least once a week, your pillow case even more.
- Phones away! It's a no-brainer but night after night phones continue to feature in the bedrooms of Australians. Keep it out of reach and make sure it's not the last thing you do before your head hits the pillow at night.
