The Amount of Carbs in These Everyday Foods Will Surprise You
If you're trying to live a low-carb life you're probably trying really hard to avoid the obvious carb-loaded foods — like breads and pastas — without realising carbs can be found in a bunch of foods you consume on a daily basis. But before you start cutting all carby foods (eliminating them can cause intense sugar cravings — did you know?) out of your diet, remember these golden carb rules . . .
- Aim to eat all your carbs with lean protein. This will keep you fuller for longer.
- Don't cut fruit out of your diet. Despite their carb count it's still OK to stick to two serves a day.
- You can still have cereal just stick to oats and bran, anything that's low-GI.
