A cool thing we did last week? Visit the NIKE Women's Studio in Melbourne. Located off the beaten track in the uber-cool suburb of Fitzroy, the NTC studio is exactly what you'd expect from NIKE — an inclusive, natural space with raw finishes, combined with functional and luxurious touches such as complimentary bottled water, use of Aesop beauty products and shoe borrowing (but more on that later).
The studio offers workouts such as HIT, Pilates and Dance — all 45 minutes long, all free. Yes, you can get your butt kicked by inspiring NTC trainers Phoebe Di Tommaso, Claire Cutter, Jackie Sherman and Stefanie De Castro, without paying a cent. If this sounds scary, fear not — each workout is designed for you to take it at your own pace, and is suitable for all levels of fitness. Naturally, the trainers will push you hard and you will most definitely sweat, but you'll feel super energised and motivated after each session. (Editor's note: I felt so motivated after my time in studio I hit the gym again first thing the next morning . . . lean legs, come at me!)
Expect to have fun and be part of an inspiring community of women who share a common interest in being fit and healthy — all whilst sweating it out in a beautiful warehouse location. Registrations open six days prior to each session, you can see the weekly schedule and book your place at www.nike.com/melbourne — but be quick, because places are limited and the classes are popular (most girls rebook after their first studio experience).
