You probably know supermodel Iskra Lawrence as the queen of self-care, and one of her favourite ways to take care of her body and mind is to work out regularly. POPSUGAR asked Iskra what her favourite kind of workouts are, and unsurprisingly, she said she likes "high-energy" HIIT sessions. Rather than spending hours on end at the gym, Iskra likes to squeeze in a short and sweet workout that will get her heart rate up, sculpt her body, and give her a rush of happy endorphins.
As for her favourite HIIT moves? "I absolutely love skipping," she told us. "For me, it's something fun." Jumping rope may have been a popular game to play when you were a kid, but it can do some great things for your adult body today as well. Iskra says you don't even need a jump rope to do this HIIT move. Just jump and swing your wrists as if you've got a rope in your hands, and that should do the trick.
"I like jumping," she added. "I know that's not for everyone because of the knees," but it's something that works for her. If your knees are in good shape and you want to mix in some jumping moves to your next HIIT workout, try jump squats or split lunge jumps.
Additionally, Iskra likes to throw in "lower ab exercises and core workouts that really use all types of muscles." One of her go-to moves is coming into a plank pose on your hands, then bringing your knee to your shoulder, knee to your chin, and knee to your opposite shoulder. "Those plank variations I find really fun as well, because you can keep finding new ways to mix it up."
The most important thing for Iskra, though, is to "find moves that you really enjoy." If you don't like the kind of workout you're doing, you're probably not going to keep up with it!
