A Trainer Shares 4 Exclusive Kettlebell Exercises to Shape Up Your Butt and Legs
When you see the kettlebells at the gym, you might have no idea what to do with them. Don't worry — we've all been there. Luckily, we spoke to a kettlebell expert, Eric Leija, kettlebell coach and trainer at Onnit Academy and primal.swoledier on Instagram, who has taught countless people how to master the kettlebell. He gave POPSUGAR his four go-to exercises for toning up your glutes and growing your booty.
"These exercises are more effective and practical when performed with a kettlebell because of the its unique shape and design," Eric told us. "The kettlebell's handle allows you to hold onto the weight while performing dynamic movements without compromising your grip. Its compact shape allows you to perform explosive movements with ease compared to large and bulky dumbbells of equal weight."
If you want to grow your butt and get stronger, Eric recommends doing these exercises three times a week. "I like to focus on quality reps to ensure that I am getting the most out of every exercise," he said. "When training large muscle groups, remember to get adequate rest in between sets to avoid fatigue."
