World Environment Day: Love Don't Waste
We've all been there at some point — the house share, the budgeting, eating two minute noodles for dinner — making it awfully hard to eat the right foods. House sharing with three or heaven forbid, four or five other 20 somethings can be a real trial with the way you spend and save food. Ever opened the fridge to find your dedicated shelf missing a few things?
There’s nothing amusing in realising you’ve spent double or triple the cost on food for the week, and having to throw away what was good food, because all your meal planning has been interrupted by your housemates mooching. I guess then you wouldn’t be surprised to hear that over four million tonnes of food is thrown away each year? That’s eight billion dollars!
Jon Dee the founder of DoSomething! and the Think. Eat. Save. global anti-food waste campaign for this year’s World Environment Day, has planned ahead and helped us with some tips to cut costs and save your food. Come see!
