Mermaid Toast Is a Beautiful Breakfast Trend

Ever Wondered What Mermaids Eat For Breakfast?

Adeline Waugh is a Miami-based food stylist and photographer who often names her yummy creations after mythical creatures — she's the wonderous creature that first made unicorn toast — and now, she's given us mermaid toast. And we know it's going to be a thing.

The best part of Adeline's food is that it's healthy! Rather than using loads of sugar, she's part of the plant-based colourful food trend-makers. For mermaid toast, it was algae: "I used a variety of blue algae powders and liquids mixed with almond milk cream cheese to create this ocean-inspired toast," she wrote on Instagram. There are many health benefits of blue and green algae, which is why we're seeing more of it on our shelves lately.

We can't wait to try out mermaid toast for ourselves (please look as pretty as this!) and see the hashtag #mermaidtoast blow up with attempts.
