This Shoe Is About to Change the Way You Work Out
Meet NIKE's new shoe baby — the Metcon DSX Flyknit. At first glance these trainers are something you definitely wouldn't mind on your feet — hello, monochrome tones! But the real magic happens when you slide your feet into the shoes. True to their promise of a second-skin fit (something I'm usually quite sceptical of), provided you've got your correct size, there's nothing about these trainers that irritates. There's no need to "break them in" or wear Band-Aids to prevent new-shoe blisters — I'm putting this down to the sock-like Flyknit upper and the cushioned sockliner — which means you'll never use "sore feet" as an excuse to not exercise at your absolute peak.
In three days, since being introduced to these beauties, I've burpee'd, tuck-jumped, squatted, lunged and lunge-jumped — even walked 14kms — in them and it's safe to say my feet will never train in anything else again! Huge call, I know, but when you're injury-prone, finding the right trainers is a challenge at best. These kicks offer ultimate stability without feeling heavy or bulky on foot, which is bliss for anyone who wants to hit the ground running as soon as they open the box. They're a dream for training newbies and fitness junkies alike.
