Personal Trainer's Post About Losing Weight After Pregnancy

This Mum Gets Real About the Struggles of Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss

A personal trainer is addressing the commonly held fear that weight loss is unachievable after childbirth. On Instagram, Malin Björk wrote about how she overcame that fear and managed to get into the best shape of her life.

Malin shared her unbelievable transformation in two side-by-side images. In her caption, she explained, "I decided from the beginning that I would come back to my pre-pregnancy shape. I was so afraid I'd be lazy and unhealthy because that is what you hear around you. If you become a mum you will destroy your body, you will never get fit etc." Adding, "But my shape is even better than before kids."

In her post, Malin made it clear that she does not want to make other mums feel pressured to look a certain way or set similar goals for themselves, though. She simply wants them to know that it can be done if they want to do it. "I just want to show you it's possible to get fit, build your body and lose your pregnancy weight," Malin said.

It's also worth noting that Malin's post-pregnancy weight loss took time and hard work. Though she was able to lose the weight she wanted to, her son is also now over a year old. In another Instagram post, Malin also said the process differs for each person: "I struggle like everyone else, it's NOT easy when you have kids but as soon you find your routines that works for you and your family it will be much easier."
