Not a Fan of High-Intensity Exercise? Kayla Itsines Has You Covered With Her New Low-Impact Workouts

High-intensity workouts aren’t for everyone. If you’re not a fan of the ultra sweaty exercise style — which often involves moves like jumping, burpees and crunches — there’s a brand new workout program that is made for those who prefer low-impact exercise.

Kayla Itsines’ new Low-Impact Program is available exclusively in her Sweat app. According to Women’s Health, the inspiration for the new program came from Itsines’ mum Anna, who doesn’t like jumping and finds many of the high-intensity workouts too difficult.

The new Low-Impact Program is an eight-week circuit training program that is designed to help users build strength through effective workouts that don’t include any exercises like burpees (sign us up!). Each week, three easy-to-follow workouts will be released, alongside optional express workouts to complete if you’re a little short on time.

“I’ve designed this Low Impact program so that there is absolutely no jumping and you keep your whole body supported or at least one foot in contact with the ground during most movements,” Itsines wrote on Instagram. “We use time rather than number of reps so you can go at your own pace and still get results.”

According to Women’s Health, the Program starts with four weeks of beginner exercises, which helps users build foundational strength and fitness. This program is also perfect for those who live in an apartment, or who exercise while their kiddies are sleeping, as the lack of jumping makes the workouts pretty quiet.
