Wellness Workshops With Gwyneth Paltrow, Grace Tame, and Carla Oates Are Coming to MECCA

Iconic beauty retailer, MECCA, is dipping its toe into the world of wellness with a new health-focused campaign called MECCALIFE. This experimental campaign will allow beauty lovers to connect deeper with all things health and wellbeing through a number of exciting events and services.

Running from April 27 to May 24, MECCALIFE includes a line-up of over 50 different workshops and services that will be taking place virtually, including a few via Facebook Live, as well as a number of in-person events in MECCA stores across Australia and New Zealand.

This month-long event will focus on six key categories across wellness: Boosting mood, getting active, creating a sanctuary, sleeping soundly, staying protected, nourishing with superfoods and being conscious. These themes will be explored with a number of exciting workshops, including a virtual event taking place on May 4 that will be led by Australian of the Year, Grace Tame.

Titled “Self not the Selfie: In Conversation with our MECCALIFE Power Panel led by Grace Tame”, this discussion will see a number of women discussing their different perspectives on wellness, as well as how they find their sense of self in a digitally dominated society.

Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow will also be joining a workshop on May 21, called “The Beauty of Wellness: In Conversation with Gwyneth and Gucci” with celebrated makeup artist and founder of Westman Atelier, Gucci Westman.

The Beauty Chef founder Carla Oates will also be logging on for a virtual event with Donna Hay and naturopath Anthia Koullouros for a discussion on the connection between beauty and gut health.

As a part of MECCALIFE, two new exclusive services will also launch at MECCA’s George St flagship store in Sydney. The Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat will deliver the benefits of the famed retreat, which is located in Queensland, to the Sydney CBD. The therapies will include two exclusive 80-minute treatments, the Signature Experience and the Pure Tranquility treatment.

Alongside the Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat, MECCA will also be offering The Fertility Suite led by Jenna McDonald (MRMed, BHSc, BPhED). This healthcare service will help women reach their fertility goals and includes a 60-minute consultation that looks at your lifestyle and health history, acupuncture and recommendations for herbal and nutritional supplements.
