One thing I've been practising this week is positive affirmations and positive thinking. The idea is that by changing your perceptions, you change your reality — exactly what I need when it comes to finding motivation in my life and slowing things down a bit.
Much to my fiancé's surprise, I'm a little ray of sunshine this week. It's very refreshing and I feel like I enter conversations and encounters on a positive note, so they're instantly better and more meaningful to me.
Positive affirmations are easy to do and take little time or effort, so I highly recommend you give it a go if you're feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. I read about the process over at The Wellness Warrior a while ago, so it's kind of ironic I've been "too busy" to incorporate them into my life until now.
