What is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer is a disease we hope we never get, but with one in eight women being diagnosed, that's an average of 47 each day, it has become the most common cancer among women. So, what exactly is it?
Cancer develops when the body's cells behave in ways that are uncontrolled. Breast cancer develops in the ducts or lobules of the breast and may or may not appear as a lump. Because of its nasty nature it has the ability to travel in the bloodstream or lymphatic system to other areas of the body like to bones and liver.
