I felt really good, really fast.
By the morning of day four, the minutes were moving more quickly. I even started enjoying those noisy miner birds, embracing them as the soundtrack to my meditation. Although I was still moving from thoughts to my mantra quite a lot, those thoughts were often lightbulb-moment ideas, and the transition felt smoother as I accepted this was a normal part of meditation. In just a few days I noticed myself feeling slightly less overwhelmed by work and life.
I started feeling good.
