I Was Always One of Those Sceptics About Its Benefits
"I loved that this session was guided, but not too guided. We were given some direction but still plenty of breathing room (literally). Everything about the studio immediately put you at ease — from the chairs, the cushions, blankets, herbal chai, and even the music — it wasn’t the overly cheesy fake river-flowing kind.
Before the session I wasn’t like tired, tired, just the usual weariness you feel after a busy day at work. But after the session, surprisingly, I felt very rested and more awake. I was very alert on the entire commute home. Kind of like that feeling after a nice hot shower.
I think meditation is seriously underrated (I was always one of those sceptics about its benefits). But physically taking the time to unplug like this can work wonders — especially if you do it regularly! I’ll take anything that perks you up after a long day/week."
