SOMA Collections Reformer Pilates Studio
SOMA Collection is Sydney's newest wellness space creating hype amongst gym-goers and wellness lovers alike. Co-founders Simon Anderson and Franco Atashi have created a boutique training space that offers an wholistic approach to fitness that covers the four S's — Strength, Studio, Spa and Social.
You walk in and you're instantly transported somewhere that feels more NYC than SYD. The decor features a mixed range of textures like timber, leather and linen with pops of bronze and brass, and you instantly know that this space goes beyond your standard gym. Within the space they have light, airy fitness studios, a state-of-the-art gym and a wellness spa that offers a range of massage, physiotherapy and beauty treatments (the lymphatic draining message is actual heaven!).
While class numbers are limited (to keep the experience personalised) there are over 100 classes a week to chose from including Yoga, 'Broga' (all male yoga), Pilates (reformer and mat), Barre, Meditation, HIIT, BoxFit, Strength and Conditioning and Circuit classes. However, if classes aren't your thing, SOMA also offer personal training that's designed to help you meet your health and fitness goals.
The Point of Difference
Aside from the wide fitness offering and the space itself, it's the infrared saunas located in both the ladies and mens change rooms that are a huge plus. You can jump in after your workout to continue the sweat and reap the benefits.
A membership at SOMA Collection will set you back around $62 a week for 12 months (includes a body scan when you sign up so you can track your progress), the less months you sign up for the higher the cost — three months will set you back $72 a week and one month will set you back $82 per week, but considering what's on offer, we'd say it's a pretty sweet deal.
