Everything New In Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3

The new season of Fortnite has just started, bringing a heap of exciting additions to the battle royale mode like a new biome on the map, new mounts and weapons, changes to the storm and new characters including Darth Vader.

“In Chapter 3 Season 3: Vibin’, the Island is one giant party. Bounce around in Reality Falls, ride atop creatures, brave the Screwballer coaster, and revel with new arsenal,” Epic Games announced. “Drop into Season 3 and spread the good vibes!”

A New Location Called Reality Falls

The biggest change is a brand-new location on the map that’s centred around the beautiful and mystical Reality Tree. Reality Falls is a lush forest full of bouncy mushrooms and purple trees. There’s loot hidden in a cavern, geysers to launch from and an entire underwater location to explore. The Reality Tree will slowly affect the rest of the island throughout the season, too.

Grow Reality Saplings

The tree drops Reality Seed Pods, which you can plant and nurture to grow a Reality Sapling. Saplings you’ve planted appear in the same place in every match and drop loot each time you weed them, cilminating in a Mythic loot drop when it’s time to dig up the sapling and plant a new seed.

Ballers Are Back

The high-rolling transports have returned to Fortnite with a few improvements. They still roll around and grapple onto surfaces, but now they float on water, have more health and run on battery charge. You can even hop in them. Another addition is the Screwballer, a high-flying amusement park ride you can experience from inside a Baller.

New Mounts

Fornite Chapter 3, Season 3 introduces wolf and boar mounts that you can ride across the map and into battle.

New Weapons

Pack a punch with the Two-Shot Shotgun, try a new kind of weapon with the Designated Marksman Rifle, deal damage quickly with the Hammer Assault Rifle. There are also some returning weapons like the Sidearm Pistol, Auto Shotgun and Firefly Jar.

Changes to the Storm

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3 brings party vibes to the island, but the Storm is still raging at the edges of the map and it’s more dangerous than ever. Now if you stay in the Storm for too long over the course of a match, you’ll develop Storm Sickness and lose more health to the Storm’s decay.

Improvements to Sliding

When you slide off a shallow ledge, you’ll now continue sliding instead of automatically returning to a standing position. You’ll also maintain your momentum when you land into a slide at high speed.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3 Battlepass

When you buy this season’s battlepass you’ll automatically unlock the Evie outfit. For everyone currently obsessing over Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new battlepass includes Darth Vader as a playable character in Fortnite battle royale. The battlepass also includes the Snap, Adira, Stormfarer, Malik and Sabina characters, and later in the season Indiana Jones will be added.

Snap comes with their own quests, which become available through the season and reward a new part for Snap that you can mix and match to customise your look.
