Fortnite Chapter 3 is just a few days away, which also means the next Fortnite event is almost here. In “The End” event, players will face off against the Cube Queen, the ultimate destroyer of all reality, to protect the Island from her wrath. Like the end of Chapter 1, the Fortnite map will change forever after the battle, so players can expect a new experience once Chapter 3 starts.

Here’s everything we know about “The End” event and Fortnite Chapter 3.

When does the Fortnite “The End” event start?

“The End” takes place on Sunday, December 5 at 8am AEDT. Like with all Fortnite events, it’s a good idea to log in a little early so you have time to group up and join a lobby.

You can group up with your friends in 16-player squads for this event, or join a squad with other players if you’re queuing solo. “The End” playlist will be available in Fortnite thirty minutes before the event starts, so you’ll have plenty of time to rally the troops and form a squad.

What is “The End”?

“The End” is the thrilling conclusion to the story of Fortnite Chapter 2. It’s a one-time-only, in-game event that will see players around the world team up to defeat Cube Queen and the Sideways corruption.

Because it’s a one-time only event, your only chance to experience it is to play it at 8am on December 5. It won’t be available to replay afterwards. That also means that if you want to stream or record the event, you’ll need to allow extra time to set up before joining the lobby.

Make sure your in-game settings are correct before the event starts because you won’t be able to adjust these when “The End” kicks off.

What are the Fortnite “The End” Rewards?

Every player who participates in “The End” will get free loot, and Epic is also rewarding players who log in during the last days of Chapter 2. Anyone who logs in between now and December 5 will receive 225,000 XP, which is a nice sum to help level up your battle pass. They’re also giving away a special loading screen and wrap to everyone who plays in the event, although these haven’t been revealed yet.

What to Finish in Fortnite Chapter 2 Before “The End”?

Chapter 3 is the beginning of a new story for Fortnite, so you’ll need to complete any outstanding quests before then. This includes the Cube Queen’s page one and two quests, collecting colour bottles and rainbow ink used to unlock Toona Fish styles, and trading in any remaining battle stars in exchange for rewards.

Any battle stars you don’t use before then will be automatically redeemed for the earliest available rewards, and any quests you bought from packs like the Graveyard Drift Quest Pack will carry over to the next season. Everything else will reset once Chapter 3 begins, including Bars — a Bargain Bin Week event will kick off on December 1 at 1am AEDT so you can redeem your bars for discounted character services and exotic item trades.

Finally, there’s currently a Power Levelling Weekend running in Fortnite until November 19 at 11pm AEDT. Players who log in before then will receive a pool of supercharged XP which should help you finish off your battle pass before “The End”.
