PSA: You Can Now Get Dreamy Pastel Xbox Controllers

It seems like Microsoft got the message about soothing pastels making a comeback, because the new Xbox controllers come in a range of soft, comforting colours that are simply gorgeous.
There are three new controllers in the range, although currently only two are available in Australia. The PowerA Enhanced controllers look like regular Xbox controllers, but come in dreamy pastel colours and patterns. They’re also packed with features that make playing your favourite games easier and more comfortable, like two mappable buttons on the back that you can configure to do specific in-game actions, hyper-realistic dual rumble motors and a volume dial built into the controller. The PowerA Enhanced controllers come in five fun colourways:

- Cotton Candy Blue: sugary sensation inspired by the sweetest of childhood treats.
- Pink Lemonade: icy cold and refreshing design to brighten up any gaming session.
- Lavender Swirl: mesmerizing, swirly, psychedelic goodness.
- Purple Camo: pastel purple meets rough-and-tumble camo.
- Pastel Dream: soothing fades that turn even the most stressful session into a smooth symphony of gaming prowess.
Currently only the Pink Lemonade and Cotton Candy Blue controllers are available in Australia. You can pre-order them for $69.95 from the Microsoft Store.
The second pastel product is the 8BitDo Ultimate wired controller. It’s a slightly different shape to regular Xbox controllers, which makes it stand out from the rest of your collection, and comes in a creamy pink colour we’re in love with. It also features two programmable buttons on the back and lets you adjust button mapping, stick and trigger sensitivity, vibration and more. It’s great for people living in sharehouses because you can create multiple profiles with different settings and switch between them with the press of a button. Australians can pre-order the 8BitDo Ultimate wired controller for Xbox in pastel pink for $61.91 from Amazon.
The range also includes the Lilac Dream controller shell from Otterbox. These shells clip into place around your controllers to keep them protected from scratches and dirt. We’ll update this page if the pastel controller shells become available in Australia.
The new controllers “embody the playfulness and whimsy” of spring. “Sit back, relax, and jump into your favourite game with these soft, soothing pastel accessories with next-gen gaming features perfect for gaming on Xbox or PC,” Pamela Wang, the product manager of Designed for Xbox said in an Xbox Wire post.
