The Set of The Intern Will Give You Serious Home Goals
I was pretty excited to see The Intern, not just because it's the story of one (fictional) kick-ass girl boss, Jules Ostin (played by Anne Hathaway), but because Nancy Meyers films always have the best houses. Most kids fantasised about meeting their identical twin à la The Parent Trap because of the awesome fun they'd have with their long-lost sibling, but I was all about the real estate addition — where to spend the holidays? Mum's London town house or dad's Napa Valley vineyard? It's Complicated, Something's Gotta Give, The Holiday — the houses in these films play as much a part in these stories as the characters themselves. Remember when Steve Martin's character suggests his daughter Annie have the wedding at the family home? All the feelings.
The Brooklyn homes and workplace in The Intern are no exception to this Nancy Meyers trademark. Jules' office is the ultimate in workplace cool and her brownstone home is equally chic. Before you see the movie (in cinemas this Thursday Oct. 1), check out these set pics Nancy posted on her Instagram during filming.
