The Real-Life House From Up in Utah

You're Going to Fall in Love With the Real-Life House From Up, Minus This 1 Detail

Went to Utah this weekend for a comic con, and saw this! A recreation of the house from Up!

Anyone who's seen the movie Up can understand (and possibly cry over) the strong emotional connection felt with the colourful house that Carl and Ellie spent their lives in. In fact, the animated home was so adorable that in 2011, Bangerter Homes, a Utah-based building company re-created the home, after being granted permission by Disney, of course. From the weather vane on top of the house to the white picket fence, almost every aspect of the Herriman, Utah, home looked like it was straight out of the movie — well, except for one thing.

After recently visiting the home, one Imgur user learned that the residents of the home are far less friendly than Carl, and that unfortunately, a sign has been added to the white picket fence. In the photo above, we see a sign on the entrance that says "Private Residence. NO Trespassing / NO Loitering" and the person who posted the photo wrote, "The people that live here are not super friendly."

Personally, we think it should be a requirement for the residents of such a colourful and monumental home to be friendly, but hey, we're not the brokers.
