The wedding industry has seen some trying times over the last year and a bit. While at first, the industry stood still as couples everywhere were forced to table their happy days, vendors are yet to fully recover as people are now married on smaller scales, and with a handful of restrictions still dictating what can and can’t be done.

But lovers are hopeful their weddings could one day resume as planned in pre-COVID times, with hundreds of guests in attendance, and even nuptials held in beautiful, faraway places…

Well, Pinterest data would show the appetite for the destination wedding has not dwindled, and in fact, when borders open, there are 10 countries that appear most attractive to romantics.

As documented by Money.co.uk, the top 10 countries couples want to get married are…

10. Fiji
9. New Zealand
8. Australia
7. Ireland
6. Bali
5. Mexico
4. Italy
3. France
2. Greece
1. Morocco

The findings are based on Pinterest boards created as inspiration for users’ future weddings. The most popular destination wedding, Morocco wedding, had 1001 boards created. The 10th most popular, Fiji, had 979 boards created.

But while destinations served as inspiration, so too did a bunch of other random themes. According to the data, Harry Potter weddings were the most pinned theme, with vintage wedding, earthy wedding, natural wedding and farm wedding taking out the top five.
