Need some last minute inspiration for your Elf on the Shelf’s final day of shenanigans? Halle Berry has you covered. On Friday, Dec. 23, the Oscar-winner shared a few of her Elf family’s best capers from 2022, including a rather daring stove move that you might not want to try at home.
Berry shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram featuring her family’s assortment of elves getting up to no good. In the first pic, one elf is sitting in a pot on the stove that’s filled to the brim with marshmallows. Unfortunately for the elf, the stove appears to be on.
From there, the elves adhere to fire safety rules by lounging on Berry’s sleepy dog’s back, and surrounding themselves with green peas. The green pea photo comes with a fun pun, as well. “Oops, we pea’d ourselves,” the elves’ message reads. Berry captioned her post, “naughty again this year!”
As a mom of two, Berry knows how to be creative during the holidays. The “Moonfall” actor shares 9-year-old Maceo Robert Martinez with her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, and 14-year-old Nahla Ariela Aubry with her ex Gabriel Aubry. Berry is currently in a long-term relationship with musician Van Hunt, who has a son named Drake from a previous relationship.
In a December 2021 interview with Women’s Health, Berry opened up about how being in the right relationship has only helped her as a parent. “I just feel fulfilled,” she explained. “I feel happy in my life romantically, as a mother, as an artist. I’m a much better mother in this circumstance than I would have been had I stayed in a romantic relationship that didn’t serve me and didn’t make me feel the way I need to feel as a woman.”
She continued, “I’m reminded that we always have to take care of ourselves first, because I can’t be a good mother for my children if I’m not fundamentally happy and feeling good about myself.”
