Your 2023 Horoscope Is Here, and It’s Your Reinvention Era
Welcome to 2023, a year that will feel like we’ve entered a new dimension – one with more laughter, love, and peace. This past year was one of restructuring and deep healing as we emerged from COVID restrictions and sought to regain solid footing. In 2023, however, two major transits will color our experience: in March, Saturn, the planet of challenge, will shift from fixed air sign Aquarius into docile water sign Pisces, where it will remain for the next two and a half years, and at the tail end of 2022, Jupiter, the planet of expansion, will have shifted from Pisces into Aries, where it will stay for the first five months of 2023. These transits signal a collective shift in values as we go from a more tech-based reality to a mystically cocreated one. As 2023 begins, we’re being asked to release our reliance on fantasy and focus on bold action.
When looking at what to expect this year, it’s also important to note that the North Node is currently in Taurus (as well as Uranus, the planet of revolution and unexpected change) until July 2023. This nodal transit lasts one and a half years, so think back to where you were at the start of 2022. The first seven months of 2023 will highlight similar themes: facing our personal and collective shadows and finding a healthy equilibrium between tending to our own needs and being aware of the needs of others. Privacy, secrecy, manipulation, obsession, practicality, and emotion – these issues and ideas will permeate our consciousness as we try to live a values-led life and explore the cosmic lessons this decade has in store.
With both Uranus and the North Node in the intentional sign of Taurus, many of us will distance ourselves from relationships, jobs, and mindsets that have kept us stuck for too long. Due to the Taurus-Scorpio eclipses and nodal transits, such shifts will happen even if we’d rather stay in our comfort zone. By the time the North Node enters Aries in July 2023, we’ll find that our friendships and work dynamics have transformed dramatically in the past year and a half, and we’ll enter the second half of 2023 feeling more inspired by our evolved consciousness.
Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth, also makes a monumental shift out of Capricorn (where it has been for the past 14 years) into Aquarius. Its first transit will be from March 23 to June 11, 2023, and then it will retrograde back into Capricorn. That three-month transit in Aquarius will lead to global shifts and possibly tech- and human-rights-related revolutions between May and June 2023. Pluto shows us where we must evolve, whether we feel ready to. Humanity as a collective will go through a reprogramming of sorts, where we have no choice but to level up. That means releasing the outdated structures and mindsets that may have kept us in a matrix-like reality.
Once we choose to peel back the veil, there are no limits to what we can achieve. In the second half of 2022, student-loan forgiveness was approved after decades of grassroots work, Gen Z showed up in droves to vote for a brighter future, and we saw more states legalizing psychedelics such as magical mushrooms. The year 2023 will keep that same wave going as we explore innovative and radical tools for healing. Pluto in Aquarius and Jupiter in Aries both remind us that we can dismantle whatever system(s) we choose, especially the ones that exist within ourselves. The last year taught us that we need to put in the work to liberate ourselves. Now, 2023 is about defining what freedom looks like for us on an individual and collective front. Are you ready to reassess everything you knew about humanity?

Aries (March 21-April 19) 2023 Horoscope
It may be a new year, but 2023 is serving as a midpoint of sorts for you, Aries. Chiron, the asteroid that represents our inner wounds, has been in your sign since 2018 and remains there until 2026. At this halfway point, you’re being asked to reflect on your healing journey. Meanwhile, Jupiter’s presence in your sign from Dec. 20, 2022, to May 16, 2023, is catapulting you to new heights, starting a 12-year cycle of growth and transformation in your life, refusing to let you get stuck in the past. Whatever fresh start you’re ready for should ideally be initiated within the first five months of the year. The astrological new year and Aries new moon take place on March 20 and 21, respectively, and during Aries season this year, you’re likely to feel more confident and magnetic with both Jupiter and the sun in your sign. Get clear about what you want as you set your Aries new-moon intentions; by the corresponding Aries full moon on Sept. 29, they may have manifested beautifully.
Eclipse season strikes again in May 2023, and the Scorpio lunar eclipse on May 5 activates your sector of depth and intimacy. You may feel more financial pressure around this time, and there could be hidden matters to investigate when it comes to those you’re in collaboration with. Try your best not to make impulsive decisions in May, especially since Mercury will be retrograde for the first half of the month. Once Jupiter shifts out of your sign and enters Taurus on May 16, finances once again become a key theme, but instead of focusing on generational wealth, you’ll be focused on your day-to-day finances and creating more stability in that area of your life. The key may be to simplify your lifestyle and take on fewer responsibilities while maximizing return on the investments and financial choices you do make.
You’ll be activated by the North Node’s entrance in your sign starting July 17, where it will remain until 2025. The North Node symbolizes one’s higher destiny, which means that if you’ve been feeling lost or confused about your path, you’re likely to have a series of “aha!” moments in the second half of the year as you let go of distractions and commit to your evolution. This year, Aries, consider yourself a magnet for whatever you’d like, be it a committed and healthy partnership, a more trustworthy circle of friends, a promotion at your dream job, or the manifestation of your dream home. Trust that the universe wants you to win and that you’re already on the path to achieving your deepest aspirations. With Jupiter and the North Node in your sign guiding you, you’re the universe’s favorite this year.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) 2023 Horoscope
Life’s about to get quite sweet for you, Taurus, and this is a welcomed blessing; you’ve been going through major spiritual upgrades with both the North Node and Uranus in your sign. Uranus remains in Taurus until 2026, but on July 17, the North Node switches out of your sign and enters Aries for the next year and a half. During the first half of 2023, you’ll keep integrating lessons that first began in early 2022 – when the North Node entered Taurus and made you face yourself in a raw, vulnerable, and unapologetic way. You now feel much more familiar with your own shadows, strengths, insecurities, and talents than ever before. This self-knowledge can transmit to great self-confidence this year, if you so choose. It may also lead to you mourning the end of relationships or connections that aren’t sustainable. You’ll know what those connections are because they simply won’t feel good to your spirit; your stomach might churn when you think of them or your past experiences. The North Node in your sign has heightened your sensitivity to your body and intuition’s signals, so if all you do this year is continue to trust your body and the messages it’s sending you, you’ll have succeeded.
Jupiter, the planet of expansion, enters your sign during Taurus season on May 16 and remains there until May 25, 2024. Jupiter hasn’t been in your sign for 12 years, so think back to where you were in life in 2011, as well as the goals and aspirations you had for yourself. A new 12-year cycle will begin in May 2023, so be even more thoughtful about the intentions you set during your annual new moon in Taurus on May 19 – the six months that follow that new moon are likely to be some of the most transformative and significant months of 2023 for you, and the corresponding full-moon lunar eclipse in Taurus on Oct. 28 will wrap up a two-year cycle of eclipses on the Taurus-Scorpio axis. Think back to the Taurus total lunar eclipse on Nov. 7, 2022. One year later, you’ll understand why you went through such a radical rebirth in 2022. It was necessary because you had outgrown your comfort zone, and the foundations of your life had to be rebuilt from the inside out.
The North Node also shifts out of your sign this year on July 17 and enters Aries. A part of you may mourn this nodal shift because even though having the North Node in your sign led to much responsibility, it also helped you let go of unhealthy connections and envision the best for yourself. Once the North Node shifts into Aries, your spirituality sector will be activated, and you’ll start to notice the times when you may have tried to ignore deeper wounds – perhaps ones that may have come from the end of relationships for which you once cared deeply. You don’t have to replay broken records in your mind, but during the second half of 2023, you may want to focus on infusing more physical activities as a form of self-healing. Whenever you feel angry, go for a run, or a bike ride, and let yourself scream in the forest. Sex can also be used as a healing portal, if done mindfully with the right partner(s) and with mutual consent. You’re being asked to lean into your healing journey and view it as a spiritual adventure, rather than an emotional burden. This is the year where you choose to make the healing process fun!
Gemini (May 21-June 21) 2023 Horoscope
The start of 2023 may give you the feeling of déjà vu, Gemini, as your planetary ruler, Mercury, will be retrograde in Capricorn until Jan. 18, and Mars remains retrograde in your sign until Jan. 12. There may be some unfinished business that you’re being asked to tend to, and a lot of that has to do with your relationship with managing wealth as well as your relationship with yourself. You have the opportunity to tie up loose ends and complete whatever endeavors you’ve procrastinated at the end of 2022. Ease your way into 2023, because it’s going to be an intense ride. On Jan. 22, Uranus, the planet of change, ends its retrograde in Taurus, which activates your sector of spirituality and healing. You may notice that you feel more grounded and less stressed once Uranus shifts direct, and much of your healing journey will start to soften at this time.
Venus enters your sign on April 11, and the new-moon solar eclipse in Aries on April 20 activates your sector of tech and friendship. (This year, we experience two consecutive Aries new moons, which is rare yet exciting.) The intentions you set around this time may lead to a six-month transformation of your friendships. By the second quarter of the year, people may be looking at you like, “You’ve changed” – and it’s true, you have. Perhaps the real dilemma is that they haven’t changed enough. This year, you’ll need to let go of what you’ve outgrown in terms of your friendships but also your relationship to social media. Jupiter’s presence in Aries until May will help you do so, because you’ll attract greater luck in your life when you link up with new people in real life rather than sticking to what’s familiar or virtual. One of your missions this year is to connect with people on a deeper level rather than remaining on the surface. The North Node’s presence in Taurus until July may help you break past superficiality and truly see yourself and others as multidimensional, ever-changing beings.
Your solar return season begins May 21, and the Gemini new moon occurs June 18. About one month later, the North Node enters Aries, activating your friendship sector. This midpoint of the year will have you reevaluating your priorities and examining your own double standards and contradictions. Make sure you’re not judging other people for the very behaviors you yourself exhibit, enable, or condone. When Venus shifts retrograde in Leo on July 22, your sector of communication will be activated but also slightly distorted, and you may take everything people do or say more personally. It may be best to take a tech detox around that time and look within yourself for validation.
The last quarter of 2023 hosts the final lunar eclipse in Taurus on Oct. 28, activating your sector of spirituality and healing. Let yourself be as sensitive and untethered as you can around this time, because months of unprocessed feelings may emerge within you during Scorpio season, and your emotions will need to be healthily processed and acknowledged in order for you to level up and end the year strong. Therapy, yoga, meditation, journaling, plant medicine, and spiritual retreats may be right up your alley this year, Gemini. Choose to reinvent yourself mindfully by believing in the best-case scenario and taking the step-by-step approach to self-transformation.
Cancer (June 22-July 22) 2023 Horoscope
For you, Cancer, 2023 will feel like a sort of wonderland. Pluto, the planet of transformation, shifts out of Capricorn and enters Aquarius from March to June, activating your sector of depth and mergers. You’ll be gifted the opportunity to cultivate healthy emotional detachment (that’s right, detachment) in different areas of your life, especially regarding the passion projects and long-term investments you hold near to your heart. This may be easier said than done, because Saturn’s entrance into Pisces on March 7 will have you committing to the idea of letting love in through surrendering fully – and that means you won’t always be in the mood to think “rationally.” At times, you’ll be feeling downright lazy this year, and that’s actually a good thing. Once Pluto enters Aquarius, you’ll learn the true meaning of letting yourself chill and mellow out, rather than always thinking there needs to be a plan.
Eclipse season strikes in April and May, and then again in October. As a moon-ruled being, you experience the metamorphosis of eclipse season to a heightened degree, so schedule time for self-care during the last 10 days of April and the first two weeks of May, and then again for most of October. By knowing which periods of the year will feel the most emotionally strenuous, you can preserve your mental, spiritual, and psychological health by not taking on more than necessary. Let your spirit guide you, especially during the summer solstice on June 21 when the sun shifts into your sign, followed by the new moon in Cancer on July 17. This is your annual rebirth, and since Jupiter will activate your career sector in Aries, you’ll feel more confident about yourself and your goals, which will help you take leaps of faith in the second half of the year, catapulting your career to exponential heights.
Romantically, watch out for Venus’s retrograde in Leo, which begins July 22 and lasts until Sept. 3. Your sector of security and values will be activated during this transit, which could lead to you having to face insecurities you previously masked from others (and even from yourself). It’s only when you courageously face your shadows that you’ll be able to give and receive love from a pure place – and that’s what your mission for 2023 will be. Trust in the abundant well from which love can be drawn and poured. View your life as an extension of that abundant energy, and intentionally direct it toward what brings you ease. All the same, it’s best to let go of the need for security, as the Taurus lunar eclipse on Oct. 28 takes place in your friendship sector and it’s likely you’ll be starting fresh when it comes to friendships and communities. You’ll be in a revamped state of mind by the time the year ends. Your annual Cancer full moon on Dec. 26 may have you wanting to kiss your evolved self under the mistletoe – that’s how magnetic you’ll feel.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22) 2023 Horoscope
So much of life as you know it will go through a process of reconditioning this year, Leo, especially when Venus retrogrades in your sign from July 22 to Sept. 3. But before we get to that, you should be present with the final stretch of Saturn’s transit in Aquarius, which lasts until March 7. This transit has activated your partnership sector since March 2020, and once Saturn enters Pisces, your sector of depth, outside resources, and intimacy will be activated. You’ll go from thinking about your connections from a more intellectual perspective to being fully immersed in your deepest emotions and navigating those feelings by finding healthy outlets to express them to the parties involved. One of the best ways to do so is through humor – let Saturn’s shift into Pisces encourage you to take a more malleable approach to connecting with your loved ones. Pay attention to what’s not said just as much, if not more, than what is outwardly expressed. Abstain from taking life or love too seriously.
Jupiter’s entrance into Aries in May is another welcomed shift for you, as Jupiter’s presence in Pisces may have led to you overanalyzing your life journey and wondering if things were too good to be true instead of fully trusting the present moment. Jupiter in Aries is helping you harness your passions toward a tangible goal, and you’ll also be willing to take greater risks by saying yes to travel or starting a new course of study. It’s likely you’ll spend the second quarter of the year traveling (near or far) or absorbing new forms of knowledge from stimulating sources. You may even decide to launch your own course or start-up during Jupiter’s transit in Aries, and once Jupiter enters Taurus on May 16, you’ll find a strategy to align your professional trajectory with your passions. Living a life you truly love is a major theme for you this year.
Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces on June 17 activates your sector of depth, intimacy, and outside resources, so if you’re dealing with a separation or have to sort out joint finances, tread carefully between June 17 and Nov. 4. You may be in the midst of reflecting on what your core values are. Perhaps last year you were focused on hustling and proving your worth to your partner(s), and now you’ll feel more meditative and in the mood to tend to your inner self. Trippy times are in store for you, and you deserve to liberate yourself from psychological hardships through spiritual immersion. Venus’s retrograde in your sign from July 22 to Sept. 3 will have an equally humbling effect on you, as you’re being asked to define yourself for more than your beauty or external accomplishments. Who are you without those attachments or labels? This is the year where you truly reveal yourself to yourself. Love this for you!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) 2023 Horoscope
This year begins with your ruling planet, Mercury, retrograde in fellow earth sign Capricorn. You may be reevaluating the decisions you made at the end of 2022, Virgo. It’s OK to change your mind, especially since Mars, the planet of action, is retrograde in Gemini until Jan. 12. It may not be until February that you feel like your new year is truly beginning, especially when the full moon in Leo on Feb. 5 activates your sector of spirituality and closure. You’ve been working through hidden trauma these past six months, and this full moon helps you lay your wounds to rest. One month later, your annual full moon on March 7 may lead to you receiving a promotion at work or making a significant change to a close partnership (either leveling up or breaking up). Accept the changes occurring in your life, especially since Saturn, the planet of challenge, will enter Pisces on the same day as your full moon. With your partnership sector activated by Saturn in Pisces for the next two and a half years, you’re learning to flow through life’s tumultuousness and take things one breath at a time.
The solar eclipse new moon in Aries on April 20 is a portal to deeper, more passionate, and more exciting connections, not only romantically but also when it comes to financial partnerships and mergers. This eclipse helps you kick-start a six-month cycle of wealth building, one where you allow yourself to take greater leaps of faith. Jupiter’s presence in Aries until May 16 also infuses more abundance in your life, so if you’ve been wanting to make a significant investment in real estate or a passion project, the first half of 2023 may be an auspicious time to (just avoid doing so when your ruler, Mercury, is retrograde). By the corresponding Aries full moon on Sept. 29, you’ll be much closer to building your dream empire.
Virgo season starts Aug. 23, and so does Mercury retrograde in Virgo, so your birthday celebrations may be tamer than usual this year, as you’ll be in a self-reflective and somewhat introverted mood. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t allow yourself to be celebrated, though. One of your key lessons this year, especially once the North Node shifts into Aries on July 17, is to stop humbling yourself so much, Virgo. Embrace the limelight, or normalize letting yourself be publicly seen and celebrated. Use the Virgo new moon on Sept. 14 to visualize yourself in March 2024, having overcome your inner blockages and truly living in alignment with your highest self. That’s what 2023 will help you work your way toward, step by step.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) 2023 Horoscope
Libra, 2023 is the year when you surrender to the universal flow and truly learn the meaning of “trusting the process.” Mercury is retrograde in fellow cardinal sign Capricorn as the year begins, and between January and March, your ruler, Venus, travels through the signs of Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, and Taurus. The key lessons you’ll learn in the first quarter of the year have to do with healthy emotional attachment, transparency in love, deepening your independence through self-reliance, and clarifying what your values are as a friend and partner. There won’t be many planets in your sign in the first half of the year, and because of this, you’ll take a more behind-the-scenes approach to making your mark. You’re preserving your energy for eclipse season, and that’s a smart move because a solar eclipse in your sign occurs on Oct. 14.
But before we get to that, on April 20, a new-moon solar eclipse in Aries occurs and activates your sector of partnership and marriage. Due to the potency of this eclipse, your love life may drastically change for the better for the remainder of the year, but this will only occur if you unapologetically put yourself and your needs first. In 2022, Saturn’s presence in Aquarius helped you focus on the practical aspects of your connection, but Saturn’s shift in Pisces on March 7 highlights your wellness sector, meaning you won’t be able to rationalize situationships or unhealthy dynamics anymore. Your connection to your intuition will deepen significantly during Saturn in Pisces, and Jupiter’s presence in Aries until May 16 will serve as fiery momentum to get you out of situations that feel stagnant or draining. The new-moon intentions you set at the end of April can lead to you feeling fulfilled and grateful for your intimate partnerships by the corresponding full moon in Aries during Libra season on Sept. 29.
Speaking of Libra season, you’ll be experiencing an iconic solar eclipse in your sign on Oct. 14, and it’ll help you step into a more actualized version of yourself – one who feels the fear and keeps going. After an intense Taurus-Scorpio eclipse cycle these past two years (the cycle officially ends Oct. 28, during the final lunar eclipse in Taurus), your solar eclipse helps lighten up the collective energies, ushering airy and expansive vibes into the cosmos just when we need it most. Get prepared to receive attention and accolades around this time, Libra. You may have started 2023 on a chill note, but the final quarter of 2023 will feel explosive. All eyes will be on you, baby.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) 2023 Horoscope
In 2023, you’re taking the meaning of “phoenix energy” to a whole new level, Scorpio. Ever since January 2022, the South Node, a symbol of our karmic past, has been transiting through your sign, encouraging you to get to know all aspects of yourself profusely and to not fear what you find. Rather, you’re being called to shine a bright light on it for the world to heal and grow alongside you. The year 2022 was the year of going within yourself as you search for truth, and 2023 is the year of externalizing your wisdom and reaping the rewards of your courage. We’ve also had a series of eclipses in the Taurus-Scorpio axis for the past two years, and on May 5, you’ll experience the final eclipse in your sign for several years – a full-moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio. This eclipse will feel like a rite of passage of sorts.
But before that, take care to spend the first half of the year celebrating the growth you’ve seen in yourself ever since last year’s new-moon solar eclipse in Scorpio on Oct. 25, 2022. That eclipse changed the game for you because it led to you realizing your worth, leaving unhealthy partnerships, ending toxic habits, and letting your more creative side emerge or take the lead. Jupiter’s presence in Aries for the first five months of 2023 is deepening your imaginative streak, as it activates your sector of wellness and health. If all you do from January to May is allow yourself to experience more peace (be it through weekly massages, buying yourself a new book each month, saying yes to dates with intriguing people, or playing your favorite instrument), then you’ll be aligned with Jupiter’s mission for you. Saturn’s shift into Pisces on March 7 also feels quite peaceful, as it activates your sector of true love, adventure, and pleasure. Your mission during this Saturn transit (which lasts until 2025) is to accept the goodness pouring into your life without constantly looking over your shoulder and wondering if it’s all a facade. You manifested this, Scorpio. Accept your rightful blessings.
The full-moon lunar eclipse in your sign on May 5 may serve as a wakeup call if you’ve been burying yourself too deeply in shadow work. Mercury will be retrograde in Taurus during that eclipse, so your partnership sector will be activated, and there may be something revealed to you during the eclipse that feels disorienting. It may not be until after Mercury shifts direct (and the post-retrograde shadow period has passed) that you can clearly assess the status of your relationships, so do your best not to be reactive during Taurus season but rather observant. You may celebrate the launch of a passion project around this time, too.
Once the South Node shifts out of your sign on July 17 and enters Libra, you’ll feel significantly lighter, as though you’ve made it through a spiritual graduation. This more lighthearted energy will accompany you up until Scorpio season, when yet another eclipse season strikes and asks you to confront any lingering uncertainties or imbalances in your partnerships. After the final lunar eclipse in Taurus takes place on Oct. 28, you’ll feel like you’ve learned a key lesson in partnership once and for all. As a result, some Scorpios may find themselves making a connection official that they’ve invested much time and effort into or, alternatively, saying goodbye to ones they no longer wish to invest in. No matter what happens, 2023 is the year where you’ll always feel whole because you didn’t give up on investing in yourself, protecting your peace, and cultivating your prosperity.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21) 2023 Horoscope
Your planetary ruler, Jupiter, spends time in both Aries and Taurus this year, meaning your life will feel like a blend of spontaneity and structure, Sagittarius – two themes that bode you well as you cultivate your dream life. Once Mercury shifts direct in Capricorn on Jan. 18, your money sector will be activated, and you’ll have less brain fog around where to direct your financial and spiritual resources.
Boundaries will be essential for you to maintain this year, Sag, especially while Jupiter’s in Aries up until May 16, activating your sector of fate, true love, and adventure. Everyone will be flocking to you like bees to honey, but who’s truly there for you, even when it’s not all sunshine and roses? Who can you count on during the gloomier days? The North Node’s presence in Scorpio until July 17 will help you find answers to that question, as your sector of spirituality, healing, and closure is activated. You may not always like what you find, but it’s important for you to remain honest with yourself and make the necessary relationship shifts if your spirit calls for it. Deep down, you’ve always known.
On June 3, the full moon in your sign takes place, leading to a period of celebration for you. You may be celebrating a personal milestone such as a promotion at work or the launch of your start-up, or you’ll be celebrating an awakening in your relationship, one that will help you liberate yourself from past patterns and feel more aligned during the second half of 2023. Whatever it is, enjoy the start of June, because once Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn on June 11 (after spending a few months testing out the waters in Aquarius), you’ll be cosmically tested when it comes to money management. You still have some lessons to learn regarding knowing how to maintain and multiply your wealth, and Pluto’s retrograde through your money sector will challenge you up until Oct. 10. You may find yourself retreating into hermit mode.
However, you truly come alive in Q4, Sag, especially after Oct. 28, once the final lunar eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio eclipse axis occurs. Your planetary ruler, Jupiter, will be retrograde in Taurus by then, asking you to take a more grounded and mellow approach to goal setting. At first, it’ll feel like you’re moving too slowly and not making enough progress, but by the time Mercury enters Sag on Nov. 10, followed by the sun and Mars on Nov. 22 and 24, respectively, you’ll understand why you had to hit the brakes in October. Everything will pick up its pace significantly during Sag season, and by the time you set your Sag new-moon intentions on Dec. 12, it’ll feel like all your birthday dreams have already come true!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) 2023 Horoscope
This is a major year for you when it comes to spiritual development and financial growth, Capricorn. Much of Capricorn season is influenced by Mercury’s retrograde in your sign, so there’s no need to rush as 2023 begins – instead, become a peaceful observer of yourself and your reactions. People may intentionally or unintentionally try to get under your skin, but it’s best to brush it off and not lose focus. Saturn’s final few months in Aquarius will help you get your money right by focusing on innovative ways of building your empire. You’ll hear plenty of opinions coming from all directions, but it’s advised to tap into Saturn’s final stretch to quiet the distractions, raise the volume on your inner voice, and trust your instincts first, especially if you’ve been having recurring revelations about your next step.
Your planetary ruler, Saturn, shifts out of Aquarius on March 7 and enters Pisces, where it remains until 2025. Pisces energy harmonizes with yours, while Aquarius energy tends to feel more frictional, so this will be a welcomed change – but it may still take you a while to acknowledge how much more sensitive this transit makes you feel. At first, you may even think something’s off because you have so much love to give and so much love that you’re willing to receive. Nothing is wrong, Capricorn. You’re healing. And healing looks good on you.
On May 1, Pluto experiences its first retrograde in Aquarius in decades. For the past 14 years, you’ve gotten used to Pluto in your sign, teaching you the reinvigorating depths of transmutation. But now, you’re being asked to cultivate the spirit of healthy emotional detachment between May 1 and Oct. 10, and that may look like reevaluating your professional priorities. You may suddenly not be in the mood to make more, do more, or be seen more during this retrograde. Instead, you’ll be asking yourself existential questions like: “Who am I beyond the status I always strive for or the numbers in my bank account?” That’s a major theme for you this year, Capricorn. Knowing your worth beyond the material and tapping into the expansive powers of your spiritual abundance are your keys to fulfillment and bliss.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) 2023 Horoscope
This year, you’ll say goodbye to Saturn, your planetary ruler, which has spent the past two and a half years in your sign, Aquarius. But before Saturn shifts into Pisces on March 7, it’ll spend your birthday season in your sign, along with the sun and Mercury. You may feel like you’re going through a radical rebirth, where all of your visions, ideas, and aspirations from the past two years compile into one big bang. You may manifest a long-held dream in the first quarter of 2023 due to Saturn’s final stretch in your sign. And once you do, you should celebrate! You’ve worked on this project or vision for most of this decade, and it’s now brilliantly coming together.
Jupiter, the planet of abundance, spends part of the year in Aries and the other part in Taurus. This fire-earth dynamic will have you reflecting on your communication patterns (during Jupiter’s transit in Aries until May 16) and on your family and past (during Jupiter’s transit in Taurus starting May 16). These are two areas of your life where people tend to view you as elusive or inconsistent, and since Jupiter is the planet of fortune, you’ll attract more luck and prosperity in your life in 2023 when you dare to face these themes head-on rather than being ambivalent. Jupiter in Aries will help you confidently name and express your needs instead of always prioritizing the needs of the collective. Schedule frequent time for self-care during the first five months of the year – take yourself on dates, and treat yourself like royalty. Once Jupiter shifts into Taurus and activates your domestic sector, you may feel called to connect with your inner child through playing in nature and picking up a hobby. Saturn, your planetary ruler, will amplify such sensations once it enters Pisces on March 7 and activates your sector of security for the next two and a half years. Money won’t matter to you as much in the conventional sense; you’ll be focused on the type of wealth that can’t be quantified: spiritual wealth and divine health.
Keep an eye out for Venus’s retrograde in Leo, which begins July 22 and ends Sept. 3. Your sector of partnership and marriage is activated by this transit, which means there may be some speed bumps you have to navigate in the second half of the year, particularly if either you or your partner(s) feel neglected or taken for granted. Your pride and ego may cause drama around this time, even if you try your best to “stay cool.” The most healing thing to do during this retrograde is to admit that you do have emotions, you do get passionate, and you do get angry. There’s no benefit to coming across as someone who doesn’t care; in doing so, you end up isolating yourself from both yourself and from others. Fortunately, the new-moon solar eclipse in Libra on Oct. 14 activates your sector of expansion, and you’re likely to enter the final quarter of 2023 feeling inspired, realigned, and ready for a fresh start.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) 2023 Horoscope
Pisces, this is an auspicious yet challenging year for you because Jupiter, the planet of abundance, has left your sign at the end of 2022, and Saturn, the planet of responsibility, shifts into your sign on March 7, where it’ll remain for the next two and a half years. You’ve been feeling Saturn gradually creeping up on you, and in a way, its presence in your sign these next few years will feel like a sharp contrast to the jovial, expansive, whimsical, yet somewhat unpredictable energy of having experienced Jupiter in Pisces these past 13 months. You may go from feeling like you’re the universe’s favorite to feeling like the universe chose you as the person it wants to put through the most trials and tribulations. And perhaps it did. Are you up for this mission, or will you shrink away in fear? The choice is yours.
Venus enters your sign Jan. 26 and remains there until Feb. 20, which happens to be the day of the annual new moon in Pisces. The end of Aquarius season and start of Pisces season is the ideal time to switch up your look and tap into main-character energy. Saturn won’t yet be in your sign, so you’ll still be influenced by the unconventional and airy vibes of Saturn in Aquarius transiting your sector of healing and spirituality. This Venus-Saturn combo is a powerful portal for reinvention, and you’re likely to inspire many people in the process – just make sure you’re claiming what’s rightfully yours and not getting your ideas copied! A major theme for you this year will be learning how to set boundaries, which means you’ll have to be OK with not being liked by everyone, Pisces. The Aries new-moon solar eclipse on April 20 (as well as your planetary ruler Jupiter’s presence in Aries until May 16) activates your sector of self-esteem and security, and it’s likely to kick-start a six-month cycle during which you cultivate deeper confidence and self-expression. Get ready for wealth to pour into your life: that’s what happens when you know your worth.
Once Jupiter shifts out of Aries in May and enters Taurus, your focus shifts to communication and creativity. Your inner child will be screaming with joy at the thought of being able to paint naked on a balcony overlooking the ocean or the forest, and your powers of specific visualization and potent manifestation will increase tremendously once Jupiter enters Taurus. But you’ll also have to be more patient, as things aren’t likely to manifest as instantaneously as they did when Jupiter was in Aries, and that’s OK. This is the year you learn less is more. You may end up having fewer responsibilities and a more chill social life, but that’ll lead to greater opportunities in alignment with your current journey and more discernment around what and who deserves your energy. The connection of your dreams may appear during the full-moon lunar eclipse in Scorpio on May 5, but in order to truly receive that blessing, you should clear space spiritually, physically, and psychologically. Let go of all the thoughts and objects that keep you tied to your past, and make room for a vibrant future. That may be easier said than done during Saturn’s nostalgic retrograde through your sign from June 17 to Nov. 4, but trust that by the time Saturn shifts direct in your sign during Scorpio season, you’ll feel like a galactic superhero who faces their wounds, transmutes them into cosmic power, and makes all their dreams come true.
