When I left for Uganda, as the guest of the Cotton On Foundation last November, my head was full of the #MeToo movement, the Weinstein allegations and ideas that a new wave of women were leading the charge in changing the world. I didn't expect to see more evidence of this in Africa, but I did. In my five days in the Southern Uganda villages where Cotton On Foundation is working with communities to provide better education, health and opportunities, I met woman after woman, who was leading the charge in changing their world. In anticipation of International Women's Day, an opportunity to celebrate women everywhere, meet five Ugandan women working with the Cotton On Foundation to make their communities great.
On World Water Day (March 22), customers can purchase a bottle of water for $2 or a 'Thirsty for Change' tee or tote with all proceeds going to the Cotton On Foundation and its water initiatives.
