Apparently Aussies Are Boring in Bed, and I'd Like to Please Be Excused From This Narrative
According WeVibes latest survey, Australian's favourite sex position is missionary. Yep, you read that right, apparently we all love getting freaky between the sheets . . . as long as we're in the missionary position.
A whopping 41 percent of respondents dubbed it their favourite position saying it's because it's the most intimate, provides comfort and allows partners to be face-to-face. Doggy style came in a close-ish second with 30 percent of people enjoying it, and reverse cowgirl came in third with 28 percent of people resorting to it to spice things up.
Funnily enough, BDSM landed in the nosebleeds — coming in at the bottom of the list, with a mere 6 percent. We-Vibe ambassador, sex educator and intimacy coach, Georgia Grace thinks it might come down to the fact that we're all secretly a bunch of romantics.
"What this research suggests is that as human beings, the best kind of sex is connected sex. If this means missionary hits your pleasure points and allows you to see their face, then go for it! Missionary is an exceptional position, and is loved by many. So often we put hard and fast kinky sex on top of the hierarchy of 'really good sex', but as this research suggests, this may not be what people actually want. Good sex is feeling connected to the person/people you're having sex with," says Georgia.
She (and we) also would like it noted that theres no shame in the vanilla game, "When we speak about 'vanilla' sex, I don't see this as a bad thing. Vanilla is tasty AF! Sometimes you may want to add some choccy sauce and spice things up, and if that's the case you can always introduce a little spice in the form of a couples vibrator like Chorus by We-Vibe," she said.
