Update: On Thursday, May 24, Michelle Obama shared the official book cover for her memoir, BECOMING, which will release on Nov. 13. The former first lady shared the cover on Instagram, writing, "I'm thrilled to share with all of you the cover for BECOMING. The process of writing this book has been so personally meaningful and illuminating for me. As I prepare to share BECOMING this fall, I hope you'll also think about your own story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be. Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own."

Leading up to the release of the book cover, Obama has been sharing never-before-seen photos from her childhood in the South Side of Chicago, all the way through her time in the White House. We can't wait to read her story.

Original Post: Michelle Obama's upcoming book finally has a title and a release date. The former first lady of the United States took to Instagram to unveil what appears to be the black-and-white cover for Becoming and announced that the book will be available to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 13. She also shared a personal message about how the memoir came to be — and had us rating the book five stars without even reading it yet. Read it in full ahead:

Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life. In this book, I talk about my roots and how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can't wait to share my story.

According to the press release on the book's official website, the memoir will be published by Penguin Random House and released in 23 languages in addition to English. Mark your calendars, guys, Obama's sure-to-be bestseller will be here before you know it!
