Video of Britt McHenry Being Rude to Tow Truck Employee

Video Surfaces of ESPN Reporter Britt McHenry Belittling Towing Company Employee

In a video that surfaced on Thursday, ESPN's Britt McHenry talks down to an employee at a towing company, saying, "I'm in the news, sweetheart, I will f*cking sue this place." She goes on to criticise the woman's job and appearance, saying, "Maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh? . . . 'Cause I'm on television and you're in a f*cking trailer, honey . . . Lose some weight, baby girl."

Following the video's release, Britt apologized for her behavior on Twitter, saying, "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake." The video itself seems to be edited from security camera footage, and the incident reportedly occurred after her car was towed in a parking lot. An ARLnow article includes a screenshot of Britt's tweet from April 6, which reads, "Just got towed after eating dinner at an establishment in Arlington. How corrupt is Advanced Towing?"

According to a tweet from John Krulewitz, Britt McHenry has been suspended for one week, effective immediately.
