Anzac Day is going to look very different this year due to the rules and restrictions of COVID-19, but that doesn't mean you can't commemorate those who have served and are still serving today. Read on to find out how you can watch the dawn service from your living room and other ways you can honour our heroes past and present.
How to Watch the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Home
While all marches and services have been cancelled, the Australian National War Memorial in Canberra will broadcast a dawn service live on ABC from 5.30 a.m. with another closed service being broadcast later at 10 a.m. Both of these services will also be available to watch via live stream on the RSL NSW Facebook page.
Consider Lighting a Candle
To commemorate those who have served, lost their lives or are still serving, the state and territory RSL branches are encouraging Australians to stand at the end of their driveways or on their balconies at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning with a candle, and pause for a minutes silence.
Virtually Visit the Australian War Memorial
The Virtual Australian War Memorial site will allow you to visit the memorial from the safety of your home.
