Carrie's Appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Carrie Underwood announced in August that she and husband Mike Fisher are expecting a baby in early 2019 — who we know will be a rainbow baby, as Carrie recently opened up about tragically suffering three miscarriages after having her son, Isaiah — and though they both know the sex of the baby, they're keeping it quiet. However, in an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, we got a few solid hints that may point to the baby being a girl.
Welcome to: "Is Baby Fisher a Boy or Girl? An Investigation."
Reasons We Think It's a Girl
Firstly, Carrie walked out onto Ellen's stage in a pink cape, which was our first subliminal clue that the baby might be a girl. Second, when Ellen asked Carrie what this pregnancy is like compared to when she was carrying Isaiah, the mom revealed that this time around "it's a different ball game." Lastly, Ellen shared that her guess is that it's a girl, and noted that she could "see it in [Carrie's] eyes" that she was right, so that sounds like a strong enough tidbit to add to our argument. Body language is everything, people.
Reasons We Think It Could Be a Boy
Carrie seemed to shrug off Ellen's guess that her baby is a girl, which could mean that she was caught and trying to change the subject — or it could have been a coy, "Ha, you're so wrong, Ellen, but I can't say that or I'll give it away." Basically, the evidence on this side of the argument is thin, but we can't rule it out just yet.
Either way, it's safe to say that this very scientific investigation* can only come to one conclusion. As Ellen said to Carrie: "It's either a girl or a boy."
*NOT scientific in the least.
