This holiday season will be the first time my husband and I will be flying with our 2-year-old son, and we already know that we're going to be so. damn. tired. Children are wonderful, inquisitive beings, but somehow putting them on a flying bus or in a long car ride can take a normal travel experience and turn it into something else entirely (like hell). Thankfully, there's some humour to be found in these long travel days. If you're also gearing up to hit the road or the friendly (and hopefully tantrum-less) skies soon, check out these 12 tweets that sum up what it's like, for better or for worse.

Traveling by road w/ a 7 m.o. and a 2 y.o. isn’t all bad. I plan to do a car trip w/ them again, preferably after they graduate from college

I don't need a luggage tag for when I travel, because my Kids pop out of the suitcase as soon as it hits the conveyer belt. Hard to miss.

I've been traveling with a toddler for five days. On day one I opened a blog post to read. On day five that tab is still open and the post unread.

Vacation with kids is really just a relocation for all the yelling and whining.

I'm back from a weekend away with the kids.
Notice I did not use the word "vacation"?
That was deliberate.

Do you have to pee before we go?
Why don't you just try?
