Gal Gadot Says Balancing Her Career and Raising 3 Kids Is the Most “Badass” Thing She Does

Gal Gadot and her real estate developer husband Yaron Varsano are proud parents to three daughters. And though the actor has kept herself very busy – starring in Netflix’s “Heart of Stone” and a potential third “Wonder Woman” film – she previously told Baby magazine in 2020 that she loves nothing more than coming home to her family. “I am a very, very happy woman who can hardly wait to come home to my family every time I finish work on a film,” she explained. Gadot and Yaron share daughters Alma, Maya, and Daniella.

Gadot told Vogue Hong Kong in the June 2023 cover story that becoming a mom totally changed her perspective. “The biggest thing that changed in my life since I became a mother 11 years ago, was learning that it’s not just about me. I’m not the most important thing in the world. They are,” she said, calling that fact “simply healthy.”

“They’re everything to me, I’ll do anything for them. They’ve taught me so many things,” the actor gushed about her trio of girls. She added that the biggest thing they’ve taught her is “that I can do much more than I thought I could,” and that they inspire her to keep pushing herself forward in her career, so that she can be a “better” role model for them.

Alma Varsano

Gadot and Yaron’s oldest child, a daughter named Alma, was born in November 2011. Gadot told Baby magazine that despite how cool being Wonder Woman is to some of her fans, to Alma, she’s still just Mom. “She doesn’t pay so much attention. Even when I’m talking to someone about Wonder Woman, she tries any which way she can to change the topic! But she has certainly learned that every woman is a wonder woman. She literally says that, which I love.” Gadot keeps her daughters’ lives private and no longer shares photos showing their faces on social media, but she does tell stories about them in interviews and gush about how much she loves them.

Maya Varsano

Gadot and Yaron’s second child, a daughter named Maya, was born in March 2017. Gadot was actually pregnant with Maya while filming “Wonder Woman,” released in June 2017, and she has joked that it’s Maya’s first film credit (even though her two oldest girls had actual cameos in 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984″). Gadot and Yaron announced Maya’s birth with a very rare family photo on Instagram in March 2017 that included the back of Alma’s head. She told Baby magazine that she’s enjoyed parenting even more as her family has grown. “With Maya, I’m able to enjoy it all much more. I’ve also seen that having a second child changes the dynamics of your family, and I have to make sure that Alma still gets a lot of love and attention from me even though I’m spending so much time with Maya.”

Daniella Varsano

Gadot and Yaron announced in June 2021 that their third child, a daughter named Daniella, had joined the party. “My sweet family,” Gadot wrote in an Instagram caption. “I couldn’t be more grateful and happy (and tired 🤪) we are all so excited to welcome Daniella into our family. I’m sending all of you love and health.”

Gadot opened up being a pregnant and giving birth in a 2022 interview with InStyle. “I love giving birth,” she revealed. “I would do it once a week if I could. It’s so magical. And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it’s not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you’re creating life, it’s incredible. But the pregnancies are hard for me – I feel sick and have migraines. I’m not in my element.” She added that she has her hands full balancing her kids and her job, saying, “That is the badass thing I do: the juggling between my family life and my acting career.”
