Pull on Your Best Athleisure Wear, Sydney's Sculpture by the Sea Is Back
For Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Sculpture by the Sea is the unofficial opening of beach season. The art festival displays sculptures along the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte Beach. The walk is already a popular exercise route, but between Oct. 19 and Nov. 5, the duration of the festival, the narrow path can get very crowded, but it's totally worth it the visit.
To get the most out of your walk go early, or for sunset. Britt Mikkelsen's Ocean Lace and James Dive's What a Tasty Looking Burger are sure to be Instagram favourites, but make sure you see this year's winning sculpture is Orb by local artist David Ball.
So call your favourite walking buddy, lay out your best active wear, set your alarm and enjoy a brisk weekend walk full of culture. And make sure you treat yourself to a flat white at the end.
