Like all good relationships in our lives, Netflix understands that we have needs. Namely, that there's been a Stranger Things-shaped hole lingering in many hearts around the world ever since season one wrapped. So, to gear up for arrival of season two on October 27, they've released the perfect accompaniment: a Stranger Things mobile game, available on iOS and Android for free.
In line with the show's '80s backdrop, the release is fashioned like a nostalgic arcade game, complete with pixel art and a reimagined 8-bit style theme song. There are more than 30 rounds to complete, covering locations like the Hawkins Lab, Mirkwood Forest and Jim Hopper's house, requiring players to solve puzzles and escape enemies with different characters. They're unique traits have also been turned into special abilities, for example, Nancy has plenty of bats to swing, while Lucas' Wrist Rocket allows him to nail things from afar.
The game features two modes: Normal and classic — the latter being the more challenging of the two. Get far enough and you'll also be able to unlock secret characters, season two footage and more. Don't forget to collect all the Eggos!
