Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler have been an item for under a year, and they’ve already been packing on the red carpet PDA. The two went from having a fairly low-key romance to high-key in the nick of time, and it doesn’t seem like they’re slowing down anytime soon.

Kaia and her ex-boyfriend Jacob Elordi ended their relationship towards the end of last year, after dating for a little over a year.
The news came as a shock, since the two were serious about each other and constantly praised one another during interviews. Kaia even gushed about Jacob to Vogue, saying, “Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don’t want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions. Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone.”

A month later, Kaia and Austin were spotted out and about in Los Angeles, sparking dating rumours. Turns out, the whispers were true, and it was around that time the pair began seeing each other.

A day after being spotted together, People spoke to a “source” who said Kaia and Austin were enjoying each other’s company, and that she “she [seemed] really happy”, and that “all of her friends think he’s really cute”. Yeah, not surprised there.

At this point, everything was coming to the surface. Us Weekly found a source of their own, who confirmed Austin and Kaia were officially a couple.
“They are low-key dating. It’s still very new,” the source said.
People published photos of Kaia and Austin’s “casual supermarket date”, and shortly after, a source told Entertainment Tonight: “Kaia and Austin are seeing each other. They’re getting to know each other better and having a lot of fun hanging out. They’re very sweet and affectionate with each other and it feels comfortable between the two of them”.

That very day, GQ shared an interview with Austin where he avoided answering a question about Kaia.
“I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that,” he said. “But thank you for providing the space.”
