Statement Hair Reached New Heights at the AAFW Jordan Dalah Show

Afterpay Australian Fashion Week kicked off this morning, May 31 in Sydney and the first designer to showcase their wares was Jordan Dalah. The Australian-British designer opened the week-long event with a stunning display.

While the collection itself was captivating — full of floor-length dresses, moody florals, puffy sleeves and larger-than-life bows — there was also an emphasis on volume when it came to the models’ hair. A number of them, including New Zealand model Georgia Fowler, rocked statement hair down the runway.

Giving new life to the classic bouffant style, the models’ tresses were teased to reach new heights, while the lengthy locks were left to trail down their backs as they walked the runway. ZALA Hair Extensions partnered with hair director John Pulitano from Original & Mineral to create this luscious look for the Jordan Dalah show.

When it came to makeup, the look was definitely straddling a no-makeup makeup vibe, with fresh skin allowing the clothes (and hair!) to do the talking. In fact, very little colour was used in the face at all, which is a trend that was also spotted at the Aje resort 22 collection show that took place on May 11.
