“I Look Like a Literal Glazed Donut”: The Bachelor’s Lily Is All About Layering Skincare

Instagram @lilykprice

Diving deep into the beauty bag of other people is one of our favourite pastimes. We love receiving skincare and makeup recommendations from fellow beauty enthusiasts, so we were pretty ecstatic when The Bachelor’s Lily Price let us take a peek at her beauty routine.

And, turns out, Lily is just as obsessed with beauty as we are. “Skincare is my domain!” Lily told POPSUGAR Australia. This is evident through her extensive skincare routine, which includes a number of products from cult brand Drunk Elephant.

Lily’s approach to skincare includes a lot of layering and an emphasis on hydration. She’s also a daily sunscreen user, which frankly makes her our new favourite person! POPSUGAR Australia was lucky enough to chat all things beauty with Lily and she gave us the lowdown on her favourite products.

POPSUGAR Australia: Could you please talk us through your skincare routine?

Lily Price: Skincare is my domain! I start every morning with a quick wash of my face with a tiny bit of cleansing balm. Then for intense hydration, I use B-Hydra Masque Moisturiser from Drunk Elephant. Then I hit it with my favourite serum, Drunk Elephant’s D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops ($51), which is a bronzing and anti-pollution serum.

This is the perfect base and I always get complimented on how glowy and dewy my skin looks. Can’t forget the body though — I drown my skin in Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($64) and it smells like a literal holiday.

In the evening, I double cleanse with the REN Purity Cleansing Balm ($48), exfoliate with Frank Body’s Original Coffee Scrub ($18.95), Frank Body’s Coconut Coffee Scrub ($18.95) and body wash (this is easily my favourite part).

I then go to bed looking like a glazed donut with the B-Hydra Masque, jojoba oil on my face, Drunk Elephant’s Glycolic Night Serum ($191), and the REN Overnight Recovery Balm ($69) and one more layer of moisturiser.

PS: How have you been looking after your skin in the Bachie mansion?

LP: My skin routine has stayed mostly the same in the mansion, however, I’ve been double cleansing to really make sure all that makeup is scooped right out of my pores.

PS: What skincare products do you always repurchase and can’t live without?

LP: I cannot live without my D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops from Drunk Elephant. It’s my secret to not wearing any makeup, but looking like I do. It also protects your skin from all the nasties which is a huge plus.

PS: What’s one piece of beauty advice you always follow?

LP: SPF every day. Protecting your skin from harsh rays will actually keep you looking younger for longer and keep your skin in amazing condition.

PS: Who does your makeup routine look like?

LP: My makeup routine is…

  • Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer — Illuminating ($56) to make the skin glow
  • NARS Foundation — a cult fave
  • NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer ($43)
  • Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate ($130) for contour
  • MECCA Cream Blush
  • Too Faced Blush/Highlighter ($43) for a pinky glow
  • KKW Nude Palette for the eyes (orange hues for blue eyes!)
  • Drug store mascara — I can’t stress this enough!!
  • A quick brush over laminated brows
  • Lip liner (my favourite part) overline with a nudey peach colour
  • Lipgloss to blend out the liner
  • Voilà! Ready to take on the world.

PS: What’s your MVP makeup item?

LP: My MVP makeup item is Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer — Illuminating.

PS: Are you a bold lipstick or smoky eye kind of girl?

LP: I think a subtle, bronzy version of a smoky eye is where it’s at. That with a nude lip is perfection.

PS: What’s one beauty treatment you never skimp on?

LP: I never skimp on my hair or my lip filler. My hairdresser is amazing at keeping my goldy locks looking phenomenal and providing amazing treatments for overall hair health. My cosmetic injector is incredible, she knows exactly how to keep me looking natural, and it makes me feel incredibly confident. Anyone who has a problem with injectables is either a liar or a downright hater.
