At First Light

In this sci-fi drama, a high school senior’s unexpected encounter with strange orbs of light leaves her with supernatural abilities, as well as no recollection of who she is or how she got her powers. A friend takes her in while she attempts to regain her memory, but when a mysterious organization pursues her, the two teens are forced to flee.

Starship Troopers

Based on Robert A. Heinlein’s sci-fi novel of the same name, this action flick revolves around a futuristic military unit referred to as the Mobile Infantry and the unit’s interstellar war against a race of giant alien insects. This one was wildly panned when it was first released, since critics didn’t realize that it’s a satire, but Starship Troopers is truly a gem of a movie.

The Signal

This thriller tells the story of three MIT freshmen on a road trip to California who, along the way, track the location of a rival computer hacker to an abandoned house in the middle of a Nevada desert. However, instead of finding NOMAD, the three wake up in an underground research facility with no memory of how they got there.

The Recall

Extinction

Beyond Skyline
