After a long-awaited return (14 years to be exact), “Australian Idol” is set to unearth a new generation of talent when it returns to Channel 7 on January 30.

The revived show has been a launching pad for so many singers and Aussie icons, like Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll, and Jessica Mauboy and we’re itching to see what it has in store for us this time around.

From the very beginning of the show, we’ll watch aspiring artists showcase their talents during the nail-biting judges’ audition rounds of the competition across the country.

From thousands of people who audition, only those who impress the judges will score a “Golden Ticket” granting them a spot in the top 50.

50 turns to 24, then the judges have to narrow the field to the competition’s top 12 artists. The top 12 will feature in the live performance round of the competition, with Australian audiences voting each week to decide which artists take one step closer to being crowned the next “Australian Idol”.

The winner will receive a recording contract with industry giant Sony Music and $100,000 in prize money.

The revived show kicks off on Monday, January 30th, at 7:30pm on both Channel 7 and 7plus.

Who Are the “Australian Idol” 2023 Judges?

Mark Holden, Marcia Hines, and Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson made up the judging panel back in the day, but they won’t be returning in the upcoming season.

Taking their seats are four local and global superstars, Harry Connick Jr, Meghan Trainor, Amy Shark, and Kyle Sandilands.
