Spotted: Hamilton Star Jonathan Groff in Episode 6 of And Just Like That…

We are six episodes into And Just Like That...on BINGE and have so far been introduced to some new faces such as Sarita Choudhury (Seema), Sara Ramirez (Che), Nicole Ari Parker (LTW) and Karen Pittman (Nya).

In the latest episode, we were also introduced to the idea of two of the characters getting new faces, at the hands of one very familiar one.

If you’ve seen the episode, you’ll know I’m referring to Carrie and Anthony’s trip to a plastic surgeon’s office to chat about Anthony improving his visage. That plastic surgeon, as it turns out, is none other than Jonathan Groff, who you probably recognise from about a million other things, particularly Hamilton and Glee. Groff, as King George III, absolutely stole the show with his hilarity in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit musical and appeared on Glee as Jesse St James from 2009–2015.

In And Just Like That… Groff plays Dr Paul David, and you know they say you should never trust a man with two first names. Dr David tells Anthony that he only needs a little Botox (do we detect a mild flirtation here now that Stanford has moved to Tokyo?) but tries to sell our girl Carrie on upgrading her features by way of some fancy digital imaging — something she ponders but ultimately decides against.

Now, we don’t know if we’ll see Groff in another episode of And Just Like That… but in the meantime, there are plenty of other places you can catch this talented actor in the meantime.

In addition to Glee and Hamilton, Groff was also the lead role in Netflix’s Mindhunter series from 2017 – 2019. He also voiced the roles of Kristoff and Sven in Frozen and Frozen II as well as taking on the lead role in HBO’s acclaimed series Looking.

Groff can currently be seen alongside Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss in Matrix: Resurrections which is now showing in HOYTS cinemas across Australia.

And Just Like That...is now streaming on BINGE and you can catch up on all of our coverage, here.
