Love Island Australia is only days away, and we’re gearing up for love triangles, drama and spicy romance, all set at a stunning villa in Mallorca, Spain.
Love Island might not be known for its long-lasting relationships, but surely the Spanish backdrop will add some extra heat!?
Hosted by Sophie Monk, the reality series will be airing exclusively on Channel 9’s streaming platform, 9Now. They’ve been dropping tidbits about the upcoming season in the lead up — including who our Islanders will be this season.
One of the Islanders looking for lasting love this year is 25-year-old customer service officer in the lottery industry, Holly Oakes-Ferguson, from Brisbane.
You can’t ignore Holly when she walks into the room. She’s confident, loud, funny and has an opinion on everything. There’s no doubt she will be turning heads in the villa.
“I’m going to be 100 percent myself,” she says in a press statement.
“You can’t go in there and not be yourself. I want to go in there and find love, but I’m not in there to be people’s best friend and be walked over either.”
Sounds like a recipe for drama, and we’re pretty into it.
Originally from the UK, Holly moved to the Sunshine Coast as a child. She kind of looks like a ray of sunshine too — a ray of sunshine with absolutely no filter, apparently.
“If you don’t love me then that’s your fault, I’m not going to change myself,” she says.
As for finding love, she’s looking for someone who can embrace everything about her, including her unbridled confidence. For Holly, it’s all about personality and independence.
“You could be the most gorgeous guy ever, but if you don’t have personality, and if you aren’t loyal or driven, you probably aren’t for me,” she says.
“I want someone who is not there looking for just a quick fling, I want the real deal. I want someone who is going to appreciate my worth and someone I can grow with.
“I am strong and independent, and I want a strong and independent man.”
We love a strong woman who knows what she wants. But how will the boys in the villa respond?
