MAFS 2024 Recap: New Bride Jade Drops a Bombshell on Ridge

Can you believe we’re already five weeks deep into the “MAFS” madness? We’re knee-deep in intruder weddings, and tonight, brace yourselves because we’re about to meet our third and final couple to join the experiment. Meanwhile, Cassandra and Tristan are at breaking point. It’s all happening on “MAFS” right now.

So, remember Michael and Stephen’s wedding from last night? Yeah, well, turns out Stephen found out he wasn’t Michael’s first match, and boy, did that throw a wrench in their honeymoon plans. Poor Stephen was left questioning everything, but hey, they’re off to Tasmania hoping some scenic views will help them sort things out.

Then there’s Madeleine and Ash, who jetted off to Ulladulla for some alone time. But Ash wasn’t quite prepared for Madeleine’s psychic medium gig. Can they overcome their differences and find common ground? Only time will tell.

For now, let’s dive into the final wedding of the season. Here’s your “MAFS” recap for episode 15.

Jade and Ridge’s Wedding

Tonight, we’re introduced to Ridge and Jade. Instantly, we’re wondering: will Ridge and Jade defy the odds, or will their love story crash and burn like so many before them?

Ridge, the former party animal turned psych nurse, is on a mission to find love. But here’s the twist – he’s matched with Jade, the sassy single mum. As Jade describes her partner’s “icks” as being “cocky” and “immature”, we can’t help but think Ridge is serving major red flags. Is anyone else getting Season 8 groom, Al Perkins vibes from him? And let’s not even get started on the groom’s obsession with the word “dece”. If we took a shot every time he dropped that word, we’d be in for one wild ride.

Jade’s been flying solo for eight years, all for the sake of her daughter, V. But now, she’s ready to settle down and build a stable home. Enter Ridge, the charming jokester with a reputation for wild nights. Can he handle the responsibility of being a stepdad, or will he bail when the going gets tough? That’s the golden question.

But when Jade drops the bomb about her daughter at the wedding reception, we are all shocked at his reaction.

“That’d keep you busy,” he responds. “We need a refill on the drinks.” His reaction is literally priceless; I mean, he’s speechless for the first few minutes.

Before we know it, Ridge surprises everyone with a heartfelt response, leaving Jade questioning everything she thought she knew about him.

“I appreciate the honesty, that’s sick. I can’t wait to meet her,” he finally spits out.

Then, he tells producers: “Her having a daughter doesn’t faze me one bit. At the end of the day, I came here looking for something that’s gonna last a lifetime.”

Could this be true love, or just another scandal waiting to explode?

Could This Be the End For Cassandra and Tristan?

Back at the apartments, things are getting real messy for Cassandra and Tristan. Five weeks in, and they’re practically on the verge of calling it quits. It all started after Madeleine and Ash’s wedding when they got into this huge fight triggered by some innocent chat about their dating past.

While Tristan’s brooding over his own issues, Cassandra’s convinced it’s their lack of intimacy that’s tearing them apart, and Tristan’s total lack of initiative ain’t helping either.

Tristan’s confidence issues and reluctance to take the lead in their relationship have only made matters worse. As tensions escalate yet again, Tristan storms out, leaving Cassandra at her breaking point.

So, what happens next? Well, Tristan storms out, leaving Cassandra hanging by a thread. But wait, in swoops expert John for a surprise visit, ready to play referee and sort out their mess of a relationship. Can they patch things up before it’s too late, or are they doomed to be another “MAFS” casualty?
