Fans of The Bachelor franchise have recognised a familiar face in the latest trailer for Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette. Channel 10 has revealed its first female contestant and it’s someone viewers know very well.
Jamie-Lee Dayz is returning to the mansion for The Bachelorette, previously appearing on Honey Badger’s season of The Bachelor — the same time as Brooke. The two first crossed paths during their stint on the show and both of them went on to star on Bachelor In Paradise. While Jamie didn’t make it very far with Nick Cummins, she did form a friendship with Brooke, sparking rumours that the two were secretly more than friends.
Both women have denied the claims, with Jamie-Lee speaking to Now To Love at the time: “Brooke is an amazing person, she and I are great friends.
“I actually am a little disappointed that all of these rumours have come out.
“The assumption that every bisexual person must be together…I think that’s such a backwards assumption.”
Brooke went on to debunk those claims as well, telling OK! Magazine: “We developed a really great friendship, but there’s definitely no sexual relationship there. I was there for Nick and that was my focus.”
But now with Jamie-Lee appearing on The Bachelorette, it seems she wants a little more than friendship, revealing in the teaser that she’s always felt something for Brooke.
“Brooke and I spent a lot of time together in the house. We just clicked,” she says.
“But I think it was as more than friends. For three years, I have wondered if it was just one-sided. Now I have a second chance with Brooke.”
We’re certain Jamie-Lee’s return will come as a surprise for Brooke, who wasn’t aware that she’ll be crossing paths with the former contestant once again.
“She has no idea I am here or what I have to say. I feel like I am really putting myself out there,” Jamie-Lee said in the teaser.
“Maybe she just sees me as a friend. I don’t know how she’s going to react.”
