Every Look Taylor Swift Has Sparkled In on Her Eras Tour So Far

Taylor Swift kicked off her “Eras” era on Friday, March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, and she be out there goddamn sparklin’. The tour celebrates Swift in all her eras, from album “Fearless”, all the way to “Midnight”. And now that our Queen has finally announced her Aussie tour dates for Eras Tour, we have a chance at seeing these ‘fits in the flesh!

Swift was unable to tour for her studio albums “Lover”, “Folklore” and “Evermore” due to the pandemic, so is clearly making up for lost time.

From the very start of Swift’s career, when she launched into our romantic teen hearts with “Love Story”, she has brought us something different each time. With every album comes a new era, with new stories, new sounds and a whole new look.

We’ve had her long curly blonde locks, wild and free, with black winged-eyeliner and a crocheted sundress. That was the pure and innocent Swift who was yet to be Kanye’d and who still dreamt about cute boys throwing rocks at her bedroom window.

Then we had red-lipped tailor, with the mini sailor shorts, long socks, brogues and an array of felt hats. She’d dated a few musicians and actors by this point, and was starting to see the ugly side of love. She was also feeling pretty good, feelin’ 22.

After that, it was NYC Swift. She wore turtlenecks and had a short haircut and her bestie was a supermodel. She made catchy pop music that sounded different from anything we’d heard her make before and got sucked into the cool-girl big-city scene.

Next was wet-look Taylor, with dark lipstick and many a snake motif. She was re-emerging after the internet tore her to shreds over some very human moments of a young girl trying to find her place in the world. She felt angry and betrayed, but she still made it goddamn catchy.

Then, it was fairy floss and rainbows and tie dye and a much happier Taylor in love. Her soft-pop-meets-country-sound returned and we felt calm and happy again.

After that, it was all cable knit cardigans, loosely braided hair and a magical fantasy land that was created during the pandemic and most likely filled with pinewood. Our storytelling queen was back in full force, but this time, with stories that weren’t her own.

Most recently, it’s a grown-up Swift. Combining the sparkle, wholesome romantic, girl who’s been through some sh*t, not afraid to be sexy and back to telling her own story — but this time, with more grit and rawness.

Given this impressive range of eras, all of which have played out honestly and openly through music and in public — it only makes sense that Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour encapsulates all of her eras — including her fashion.

Throughout the show, Swift wore custom-made looks from designers such as Versace, Oscar de la Renta and Roberto Cavalli — revisiting and re-creating iconic looks from her past eras.

Custom Versace Fairy Lover

Swift shone in two custom Versace looks. One, this purple and blue-toned fairy princess-esc bodysuit.

@taylorswift you are breathtaking in Versace. I’m so proud of you. Best of luck on The Eras Tour🤍,” Donatella Versace wrote in an Instagram post, supporting the pop icon.

Custom Versace Power

The other custom Versace outfit was this bedazzled silver power blazer, with matching knee-high boots. Slay.

Roberto Cavalli 2.0

To perform a trio of songs from her album “Fearless”, Swift wore this gold fringed Roberto Cavalli mini.

Fans might recognise that this dress is verrrry similar to the Cavalli dress she wore during her “Speak Now” tour in 2011.

Symbolism? We think yes. Swift does everything for a reason.

Reputation, by Roberto Cavalli

To perform songs from “Reputation” Swift slipped into an asymmetrical Roberto Cavalli bodysuit adorned with a sparkling red snake. A definite wow moment, this look is a new and improved version of a similar single-sleeved style she wore during her 2018 “Reputation” tour.

Enchanted, in Nicole + Felicia Couture

To sing “Enchanted” — an all-time classic from her “Speak Now” era — Swift wore this divine Nicole + Felicia Couture ballgown. The look was an ode to the sequined, full-skirted Valentino dress she wore while touring “Speak Now” in 2011.

Feelin' 22

For a trip down “Red” lane, Swift re-created her signature look from her “22” music video.

However, the original t-shirt read “not a lot going on at the moment”, her “Eras” version have different lyrics printed on the front.

One opening night, the shirt read “a lot going on at the moment” and on the second night, it read “who’s Taylor Swift anyway? ew.”. If we didn’t already know it, she is a true genius.

Ringleader Re-done

We don’t know who designed this scarlet and black ombré sequined coat, but we’re obsessed. It’s giving  a more grown-up take on the iconic ringleader costume she wore during her 2013 “Red” tour.

Alberta Ferretti for Folklore

For her “Folklore” era, Swift wore a custom lavender Alberta Ferretti gown, with a plunging neckline, cascading sleeves and lace detailing.

Ferretti confirmed to Page Six that she will be creating a “selection” of different looks for the “Eras” tour, which will hopefully see more beautifully crafted gowns like this to come.

1989 Party

For her 1989 medley, Swift rocked this Fuchsia embellished two-piece set by Roberto Cavalli.

It’s giving sexy, fun, party, SPARKLE, and we’re here for it all.

Oscar de la Renta does "Lavendar Haze"

But the shaggy lavendar coat, you ask? Well that was Oscar de la Renta, of course.

We probably don’t need to tell you that she wore it to sing “Lavendar Haze”, but it’s too good not to mention.

Swift wore the coat over a sequined t-shirt dress and honestly, it’s giving us winter party outfit inspo.

Midnight Jewels

Closing the show with songs from her latest album, “Midnights”, Swift wore a beaded midnight-blue bodysuit from Oscar de la Renta.

She’s essentially dripping in rich blue jewels. It’s the midnight fever dream of our fashion dreams.

Even her custom Louboutin boots have twinkling stars on a midnight blue suede. It’s pure perfection.
