More Time to Sin: Saints Row Will Release In Australia Ahead Of the Rest Of the World
The rebooted Saints Row finally comes out on August 23 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
The reboot is a (slightly) more mature take on the Saints Row franchise, which became known for not doing anything unless it was over-the-top. The previous games had black hole launchers and dubstep guns, flying broomsticks and a mission called Murderbrawl XXXI. Not exactly subtle stuff. The new game is still over-the-top but picks its moments to let loose.
And perhaps our favourite part of the new Saints Row is the character creator called Boss Factory, an in-depth customisation tool that lets you give your character — called The Boss — chrome skin, elf ears, tattoo sleeves, prosthetic limbs in multiple material types and more.
You’ll also be able to customise your cars, headquarters, recruits, weapons and more. And as if that’s not enough, it’s also set in the biggest and best playground ever created for a Saints Row game.
When Does Saints Row Unlock In Australia?
Those wanting to jump into the mayhem as soon as possible will be pleased to know that Saints Row unlocks at midnight on August 23 globally.
That means people in AEST will get it half an hour earlier than ACST, who’ll get it an hour and a half earlier than people in AWST. It also means Australia gets it a little earlier than most of the rest of the world!
Can You Preload Saints Row?
Preloading is already available on PlayStation and Xbox for anyone who’s pre-ordered the game. Due to technical issues, preloading isn’t available on PC. It’s a 50GB download on PC, so not too bad, but it will mean you have to wait a while longer to jump into the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city.
