Charlotte knows all too well what it’s like to be underestimated. At first glance, some might see only the congenital birth defect that left her with half an arm. But anyone who spends even a few moments with her quickly realises she’s a force to be reckoned with, armed with perseverance and a wicked sense of humour.
Despite her physical difference, Charlotte’s spirit is unbreakable. Time and again, she’s proven that nothing can hold her back, and now she’s ready to tackle her next challenge: The Summit.
“Most of the time I’ll just tell a story like I had frostbite while climbing Mount Everest as a child,” Charlotte said. “And I might leave that story hanging in the air for days or seconds, depending on the person and how much I like them.”

This cheeky approach got Charlotte into a bit of trouble during her school days. “I got into big trouble at school for telling that story… started at a new school and my folks got called in and thought it was hilarious,” she recalled. “I like to disarm people with humour and it breaks the ice. That’s what life’s about.”
Charlotte’s journey to The Summit is more than just a physical climb; it’s a testament to her resilience and the power of humour to break down barriers. Her ability to laugh in the face of adversity makes her a standout competitor, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
