Sophie Monk married her partner Joshua Gross in an intimate, surprise ceremony in March 2022. Now, she’s explained how the couple managed to keep the wedding a secret, and what married life is like.

“Well, no one was invited,” she told TV WEEK on the Logie Award’s red carpet. “So no one knew so it was pretty easy.”

“It was good! Just more legal, our relationship. So it isn’t much different,” she said, after being asked if the dynamic of her relationship has changed since tying the knot.

She also gave fans an insight into how the couple’s partnership works, revealing that they both pick up their share of the housework.

“He does that anyway [cleans up]. So yeah, it feels a bit more like he isn’t ever going to leave you while he’s hard at work,” she joked.

The Channel 9 host spoke about becoming a mother and whether or not the pair see kids in their future, and while she’s open to the idea, only time will tell.

“We’d love that [kids],” she says. “It just depends if it’s in our path.”

Monk and Gross tied the knot in a small at-home ceremony back in March 2022, and invited Stellar Magazine to capture their special day.

Speaking to the publication at the time, the former Bardot singer said, “We always thought we’d elope. So many people said to me, ‘I didn’t even see my husband on the night; if I had my wedding over, we’d just elope’.

“So we thought, well, why don’t we just get married at home? I’ve seen people get really stressed about their wedding, and ours has been so stress-free.”

The newlyweds were the only ones at their wedding and at-home dinner, with Monk admitting that their approach made the most amount of sense.

“I’m 42, so I feel like (our loved ones) are like, OK, do it your way. We figured if we don’t invite one person, then no-one could get upset.”
