Carolina from MAFS Reveals the Real Reason Her and Daniel Showed Up to Last Night’s Dinner

After watching an entire season of Married At First Sight, I’m in need of a serious break. Sadly, that break is a long while away because the drama that takes place on-screen doesn’t just end when the show finishes. Instead, we have the participants talking to various different media outlets, either dropping bombs about production or each other.

Last night, viewers witnessed the absolute dumpster fire that was the Boys and Girls Night, which saw the brides and grooms reunite. And you know what that means: Chaos ensued.

Much of the night saw the remaining cast speculate on who was going to show up, and spoiler alert: They all did. Yup, Selin arrived ready to create tension, even Jessica rocked up despite her relationship lasting approximately 0.2 seconds.

But the most controversial of all was Carolina and Daniel, who had the courage to front their fellow participants after admitting to having an affair. Oh, and speaking of Jessica, she had no idea that Daniel, who she was paired with on the show, moved on with Carolina. So, that was awkward.

On the boys’ side, Daniel was forced to confront Carolina’s ex-husband Dion and all the other grooms, and tbh it seemed extremely stressful.

The entire time I was questioning why the two would even bother showing up, because the show itself was painting it as if they came on their own accord. Well speaking to Hit NSW’s Breakfast with Maz and Lakey, Carolina revealed that all was not what it seemed.

“It’s basically part of the contract,” she said when asked why she chose to join the Girls Night. Makes sense. Surprisingly, Carolina and Daniel’s relationship has gone on to flourish off-screen and while others are obviously not supporting it, they don’t really seem to care.

Married At First Sight airs at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
