The Real Love Boat: Jay May Look Tough, But He’s a True Romantic

If you love love, if you love dating shows on boats, if you love sexy singles and glam European destinations, then buckle up babes!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and we’re not mad about it.

The Real Love Boat — inspired by the 1976 sitcom — takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see 20 Australian singles travel the seas, looking for love.

Destination dates and surprise singles will test the couples’ compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, The Love Boat, the indispensable crew members will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead.

Arrigo, our eligible Aussies will be guided through the murky waters of love as they explore Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

One of the babes embarking on this cruise for love is 30-year-old Jay Bonnell, a single dad from New South Wales.

As a social enterprise manager living in Wollongong, Jay is ready to take the next step in his love life.

Jay believes he has lots to offer his potential partner and is looking for someone with the qualities he also sees in himself. He loves a confident person, and someone who is sentimental, determined, adventurous
and fun.

As for why he’s still single, Jay puts it down to bad timing, but he thinks his soft, loving side makes him the ultimate catch.

“My dream date would include a sunset, a winery, and a few good drinks. Or a dinner with live music, and a game of pool,” he said in a press statement.
