The Real Love Boat: Mikaila Is Searching for Butterflies

Network Ten

If you love love, if you love dating shows on boats, if you love sexy singles and glam European destinations, then buckle up babes!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and we’re not mad about it.

The Real Love Boat — inspired by the 1976 sitcom — takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see 20 Australian singles travel the seas, looking for love.

Destination dates and surprise singles will test the couples’ compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, The Love Boat, the indispensable crew members will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead.

Hosted by Darren McMullen, with Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier, Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo
Arrigo, our eligible Aussies will be guided through the murky waters of love as they explore Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

NTB, right?

One of the babes embarking on this cruise for love is 23-year-old Mikaila Norman, an independent, driven and adventurous queen from Queensland.

Mikaila is looking for her other half, someone to match her energy.

“I’m still single because I just haven’t wanted to settle,” she said in a press statement. “I’m confident in what I’m looking for.”

“I have to feel 100% in the relationship, and I’ve never found a man that is ‘IT’, you know?”

She believes she can offer care and empathy to a future partner, and she is passionate about uplifting them, and challenging them.

“I can be quite outspoken and I hope that doesn’t turn any men off, but in the same breath, I refuse to tolerate any foolishness.”

Having always wanted to meet “the one” organically (and not on any dating apps), Mikaila is looking forward to her trip on The Real Love Boat.

“The Mediterranean fits my adventurous nature and I am always up for doing things outside of my comfort zone,” she said.

“The best feeling in the world is to be able to give your heart and feel you have theirs. It’s the rush of butterflies when you see them, the excitement for the future.

“Everything feels better when you say those words, I love you.”

Will Mikaila meet her match?

The Real Love Boat airs weekly at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play. Miss an episode? Catch up on 10 Play on Demand.
